Change the game's resolution to match steam deck's:
/home/deck/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/1502980/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/Documents/KoeiTecmo/Atelier Firis DX/Setting.ini
and edit these two lines: ScreenWidth=1280 ScreenHeight=800
Enable per-game profile
Frame Limit: 60 FPS (60Hz)
There's a secondary launcher that will pop up.
You can either use touchscreen, or hold steam key + right trackpad + R2 to click "Start Game".
You NEED to use this fix to improve your FPS.

and put the .dll file into your game directory:
/home/deck/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/Atelier Firis DX/
Without these fixes, FPS would be around 30 to 40 even on max settings. If you're fine with that then you can play it straight out of the box.

Awesome game. Around 8hrs battery life using these tweaks.
Install the 18+ patch to "fully enjoy" this game ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°). After that, game works right out of the box without any issues!

I highly advise you to rebind these buttons for ease of gameplay.
A -> Left Mouse Click
B -> Right Mouse Click
X -> Enter Key
Y -> Middle Mouse Click
Left Menu -> Alt Key
Go to Performance
Scaling Filter: FSR
FSR Sharpness: 3
Rebind these buttons for ease of gameplay:

L1 -> Scroll Wheel Down (Settings > Hold to Repeat: ON) L2 -> Scroll Wheel Up (Settings > Hold to Repeat: ON)
Go to System and change the resolution to 1536 x 864 for better text clarity.
Some texts in clothes/items description might be too small, but are still readable.
Short but fun game. Wish there's more "content" though, if you know what I mean~
