Perfectly playable, with the only minor caveat being this still using the old main menu.

Requires using WineD3D to start.

The game works perfectly fine, performs really well and overall feels like a native experience.
Had to force Proton Experimental on Bleeding Edge, otherwise it would freeze up on the introductory race.
The game is enjoyable if you are content with playing it offline at 30fps with a mix of very low and medium settings.

Setting the resolution to any that isn't the monitor's native one will cause the taskbar to be always visible.
Sometimes the game crashes within 5 minutes of leaving the garage, sometimes it doesn't.
Multiplayer causes some significant stability problems, such as crashing when nearing some players, or crashing when pausing the game. I assume this has something to do with the loading of player avatars.

The game crashes every so often, but it's much better than previous versions.
Small connection issues, unsure if related to Proton
The latest game update really improved on the whole crashing issue, it's still there, but way less present, however limiting the game to 30FPS is still necessary for it to not crash immediately and it's still far from perfect.
The game is enjoyable enough if you are willing to tinker to get it working under the x86_64 branch.

Applying the CEF Codec Fix (https://github.com/solsticegamestudios/GModCEFCodecFix) was required to make the game start without crashing under the x86_64 branch.
On startup, the game's window appears between both monitors, needing to be moved to play. This does not occur on fullscreen, however the cursor is shifted as if the window is still between the monitors.
While the game does initially perform better than on Windows, performance degrades over time when playing, going as far as dropping down to around 5FPS whilst consuming the entirety of the GPU's video memory. The game also heavily stutters when a model or particle appears for the first time.
The game crashes every now and then and sometimes crashes on startup.
Multiplayer works perfectly fine even with Peer-to-Peer and with other people playing under Windows.
Playing the game under Proton resulted in a way more stable experience, but when using the x86_64 branch, arguably required for more intensive addons and a better experience, the main menu would simply just disappear, making the game virtually unplayable unless using a custom Lua menu that breaks some commonly used features.

After alt-tabbing from fullscreen, the game's window would become fully black, requiring the game to be restarted.

Windowed mode has some really weird mouse issues.
The mouse cursor becomes invisible while using the Social Club overlay.
While the game is technically "playable", it's a far cry from being enjoyable.
Parts of the map dissappear from time to time, LOD is all over the place and textures sometimes become completely black.
The game runs abysmally slow even on the lowest settings.
All of the in-game videos don't play, leaving only a test pattern on their place, this includes both the intro video and the tutorial cutscenes.
Even with it's oddities, the game is perfectly playable and could pass as a native experience.
On first startup, the game stutters alot because of shader compilation, but it eventually goes away.
After closing the game, Origin remains open in the background and has to be closed manually, otherwise Steam believes the game is still being played.

Alt+Tabbing while on fullscreen or windowed would occasionally cause the game to crash.
It works the same as on Windows.
Works really well!
There was a weird window size quirk, but that was easily solveable by changing resolutions in the game's options menu.
No issues at all aside from that window size quirk, perfectly playable!
It's fine enough.
Sometimes the game's FPS drops down to around 15-20, reducing resolution scale when it happens helps, but only restarting the game makes it completely go away. Gamemode appears to make this take longer to happen.
It's fine
Perfectly playable, as long as you can tolerate Ubisoft Connect that is.
