I was having some pretty major stuttering problems. Using GE-Proton, locking the game's refresh rate to 60hz within the internal graphics menu, and resetting the cache by deleting all files located at /home/(username)/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/1693980/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/Documents/Dead Space (2023)/cache seemed to fix the issue (Note: The game will rebuild the cache upon launching, and you'll apparently need to do this any time you change any graphical settings.).
I haven't tested which of these fixes is actually responsible for allievating most of the stuttering issues, but the stutters have gone from making the game nigh unplayable to barely noticeable.
GE Proton seems to be required to watch the videos within cutscenes, but other than that it works OOB.

Occasionally, it would not be able to launch properly without completely restarting my OS. I've had this issue occur with one other game (Ace Combat 7) and I have no idea what causes it, as it doesn't appear to be consistent.
I had a rare bug where all of my menu sounds would become inaudible, though this issue seems to occur on Windows as well. Additionally, the game occasionally makes my GPU run very warm in specific environments (i.e. certain hallways or cutscenes), but performance does not seem to degrade.
