The game requires you to force compatibility, as launching the game directly simply doesn't work. Both Proton 9 and Experimental work fine.
While TTS is absent and it makes the game feel quite empty, nothing gets in the way of enjoying the quiz proper.
TTS doesn't work.
The game, as of today (28th of December 2024) is stuck between a rock and a hard place: Proton 8 without TTS, or Proton 9 with TTS - but the TTS is delayed and really gets in the way.
The TTS delay makes the game unbearable. It's functional. You'll just take upwards of 30' for a quiz that should take 10.
Had to install Proton Voice Files in command-line (steam steam://install/3086180) to fully enable TTS.
TTS is delayed by several seconds, and the game will wait until TTS is done to move further, adding minutes upon minutes of waiting (there is no option to disable TTS in-game).
The game is best enjoyed with Proton 8 at the moment (28th of December 2024), although that removes all voices.
Crashes on startup with message "Failed to initalize graphics. Make sure you have DirectX 11 installed [...]" with both Mesa on IntelHD and Nouveau on Nvidia (using Bumblebee). Using Wine D3D11 doesn't help.
Works perfectly fine, Lutris can be used to install and configure AngelLoader as well as use DMM, so modding works perfectly fine.
Perfectly fine with minimal tinkering thanks to Lutris, ESRGAN pack works great, so do OpenAL for EAX effects and the Sound Enhancement mod.
