Make sure Directx12 is on in the ingame settings otherwise it will probably run like dogwater. If the option is greyed out ingame, you can edit the graphics_option.ini file in the root folder of the game in a text editor, and change DirectX12Enable=Off to DirectX12Enable=On

flatpak version added as a non steam game
The only consistent issue I found with Runescape is a constant audio crackle. This happens consistently on every distro I tried: Arch, Mint, Kubuntu.
"--env=PULSE_LATENCY_MSEC=200" fixes this in the flatpak version. I've seen reports of other values than 200 fixing this for other people. The steam version of the game had its own problems, the flatpak version seems the most stable and in fact plays better than any other installation variant of Runescape I've tried including Windows.
