Delayed with subtitles occasionally
Stutters if processor count not limited to ≤5.
Unable to open if using base Proton
Experimental was smoother than GE. Processor count of 5 was optimal for me; tinker to see which number applies best for you.
gamescope -w 1280 -h 720 -W 1920 -H 1080 -f -- gamemoderun %command%
Only if using OpenGL: parts of terrain will "shift" back and forth at certain biomes (Blood Kelp Zone, Bulb Zone, etc.)
Occasional stuttering and frame drops w/o FSR
Set in-game resolution to 720p (1280x720) before running with launch options to get a stable framerate at 1080p.
Use Vulkan, not OpenGL otherwise you'll encounter occasional stuttering.
WINE_CPU_TOPOLOGY=5:0,1,2,3,4 WINE_FULLSCREEN_FSR=0 gamescope -h 720 -H 1080 -F fsr -f %command%
Run with latest gamescope after setting in-game resolution to 1280x720 (720p). Relaunch with specified launch options to upscale resolution to 1080p w/ FSR. However, some menu items will be a bit blurry/noisy.
Limited to 5 CPU cores since Subnautica oddly stutters without limiting it.
Omit "-f" flag in gamescope to launch without fullscreen.
Graphics
Resolution: 1920 x 1080 @ 60Hz
Graphics: High Turn down resolution refresh rate or graphics if animation lags your PC.
Proton
Works fine. Minor animation lag when >2 characters appear at once.
Proton GE
Smoother than normal Proton. Fixes minor animation lag.
