Game works like playing on Windows.
Mouse buttons don't work most of the time. Not a problem though as this game is best played with a controller.
As listed below, you have to let it crash out a couple times prior to it working flawwlessly. This takes a very long time as well. Once you see the Steam error, it will work the next time you try.
Frequest slowdowns and crashes make the game unplayable
Slows to a crawl with weapons fire
Crashes constantly during battle
Random crashing makes it unplayable.
This is just an update with the new 5.01 version of Proton.
100% needs to be run with Glorious Eggroll. Playing with the default Steam Proton has massive stutter issues.

Proton-6.9-GE-2
Proton 6.9-GE-2 was not able to finish install for me. I needed to run an older default Proton to finish installation (6.3-7) to finish DXSetup and then switch back to 6.9-GE-2 for play.
Running with Proton experimental had too much stutter when loading assets. Running with 6.3-7 had even more stutter. Glorious Eggroll felt native. https://github.com/GloriousEggroll/proton-ge-custom/releases/download/6.9-GE-2/Proton-6.9-GE-2.tar.gz
I did try some later Protons - Proton-6.20-GE-1 and Proton-6.19-GE-2, but these failed to load into the menu.
Same as other report. Failed to find Steam.
I saw a pop up window where it is trying to load movies. Maybe some tinkering can get it to work but I will not be giving it any more time.
Works out of the box. Nothing wrong that I can find. Can't tell the difference between playing this on Windows or Linux.
Works great with the exception of all shadows. Played a mission to completion.
If shadows are set to all, it can crash. Setting the shadows to sun only solves the problem.
The graphics are just bad with the shadow textures
Shadows are horribly wrong and no way to fix them that I can see. Some settings such as high water textures crash the game.
