Game runs flawlessly out of the box. I could not tell a difference from running a native Linux game.
I played the campaign from start to finish, without a single crash, slowdown or any other glitch.
As expected from the whitelisted game, it runs flawlessly.
I played more than 30 hours. Not a single problem.
I have finished the whole game from start to finish, not a single crash or a glitch.
Got a crash when started first time, black screen instead of game menu. After restarting, game ran fine. Got a few crashes in 20+ hours of playing but the same is happening for some people on windows.
Runs well with DX11, only with shadow glitches.
Shadows are rendered incorrectly
I finished the whole Roman campaign from start to finish with proton without a single crash (40+ hours). Only two things that were not perfect are white box instead of game launcher and shadows are rendered incorrectly.
On game launcher click somewhere in the top right where the launch button is and the game will start (google for launcher screenshots).
I turned off shadows and I don't think that downgraded my experience with the game.
Make sure you don't crank up graphical details more than your GPU VRAM can handle or your game will crash when battles are loading. (Try lowering shadows, textures and water details)
