The game runs surprisingly smoothly, in my opinion even better than in Windows.
The first start takes a while, because the intro video is bugged as hell. But if you keep it simply running for a while, the menu launches and you can play. For future starts you can simply skip the video
Games likes to start on wrong screen. It helps to use the window mode, move the game to the screen you like, and hit "ALT + ENTER"
In Windows the game used to keep crashing at different PCs, but runs great in Linux (Tested with Proton 5.0.9)
Despite the sound issues since the last update, which you can workaround with proton 5.13-1, it works smooth af.
Since "Update 32" sound does no longer work with Proton 5.0.9. Working fine with 5.13.1 though. Didn't notice any other impact
The game-launcher interferes with the screen of the game itself (heavy flickering). You need to change the display options from "fullscreen" to "borderless" in the game's graphic settings.
That's more a OS problem, but the screen turned black after some minutes, because the controller input wasn't recognized as "movement" by the OS / Game and the screensaver took over. Using a XBOX 360 USB Controller. Game itself was playable with the controller though
No native support and game uses Anti-Cheat, so no chance for Proton.
Works out of the box, which is no surprise, for it has native linux support
If you dont mind to lower down the graphical settings, it's working "okay" and is playable.
From what i heard the game also has performance problems in Windows, so it might simply be a badly optimised game.
Only working with GE Proton 7-55. Make sure to wipe the local files of earlier proton versions you might have tried this game with before using 7-55.
Runs pretty much perfectly out of the box
Deactivating background sound is getting ignored.
Sentivity when looking around with the mouse was noticeably high, but it's the same in Windows
Works out of the Box. All bugs / Problems are caused by the game itself, not Linux / Proton
Game crashes from time to time, but not caused by Linux, crashes way more often in Windows (game is simply still buggy)
Runs smoothly out of the box
Game freezes and then crashes if you ALT-Tab from fullscreen. Use windowed fullscreen instead, or simply don't ALT-Tab =)
There are some ingame bugs, but they are propably normal for the early access version and not related to proton
Currently borked.
Tried different Proton Versions and OpenGL. Game tries to start but either freezes or crashes immediatelly
The menu loads, but currently there's no default controller support, trying to start a session within the game results in a crash after a couple of seconds in the loading screen
Works with proton, but i recommend to use the native Version with OpenGL for a smooth experience
Other than the Windows version, the Linux native version will always show "60 heart" while selecting the resolution. That's only a display error though, because even if you select 60 heart and save it, the game will auto-adjust it to the settings of your main-display (144 in my case)
The game tends to stutter freeze if you choose to start the game with Vulkan instead of OpenGL. With OpenGL it runs very smoothly
Plasma-Blast is a black line, but despite that the game looks great
Multiplayer no longer working with patch 3.0 (AVF Error)
SteamDeck=1 %command%
Around 25% less performance than with Windows
"SteamDeck=1 %command%" is required to avoid the AVF error, otherwise playing online won't be possible.
