AMD GPU crashes DM/WM using DX12. switch to DX11. Tinker steps are necessary. Game works in flatpak and native.
Required Flatpak installation of Steam in order to work. Run the command "sudo flatpak override --user --filesystem=/your/drive/here/SteamLibrary com.valvesoftware.Steam" to provide the permissions to see already installed games.
Flatpak is a containerized environment, so it will not see your already installed games out of the box and will need this in order to install games as well. Ran great otherwise.
