Game plays fine, but you will have to run it with lower settings than you are familiar with on titles that run better.
6800 XT and it runs like garbage. I have it on medium just to get 45 ish fps.
I can run Elden Ring maxed out on 1440p and get more than 100 fps. This on medium and it's barely at 45 fps...
Generally runs quite good!
Very uncommon, but it does happen and it'll do it for a minute or too and stop.
At a certain point if you turn the graphics settings "too high" there will be this crazy graphical ghosting where you see textures from all around you stuck on screen as if they're God Rays or something and it will make the whole game basically too annoying to play. I have my stuff on high basically and there are no issues.
Could be a general linux thing, but sometimes my screen goes blank when I am using my xbox one s controller wirelessly because I guess it's not sensing any movement so the screen goes blank until I alt-tab out and back into the game under KDE Plasma. It is important to note that I am using a Dell Monitor with FreeSync Gsync compatibility on in nvidia settings and I turn off Vsync in game.
Occasionally when heavy rain is happening or when I'm on small islands for some reason with a lot of foliage. This is inconsistent with being in a town that you have to actually dock at because nothing slows down. The open seas doesn't seem to be the reason. While the game stutters during these times steam is reporting a solid 62 FPS... so it's gotta be something I clearly don't understand.
The dumb Ubisoft launcher does not close after you exit the game, which is technically normal if you're using it normally but you have to manually close it for steam to know the game is full closed which makes sense as well. It would be nice to have an option to close the launcher after quitting the game since it's useless anyways.
If the dumb Ubisoft runner doesn't start up and sign in on first launch with Proton Experimental, use an older one and get it to sign in, then afterwards it won't give you any issues. It's updated, signed in and usual goes fine.
Start steam through the command line and see what it reports when it crashes because it may be looking for more libraries. Mine was libcrypto.so ... Had to install libxcrypt-compat on Endeavor (should be the same on an Arch system) to get it to run. After that it seems to run fine.

Runs great with no issues other than the screen blanking, but that's a DE issue I think.
Make sure you use "gamemode" from Ferrel and/or caffeine because when yo use your controller your PC may go on standby since it's not getting any keyboard or mouse input.
Will run very well sometimes, but most of the time performance is horrible on my 6800 XT.
It was uncommon but it happened.
Mouse input is not separate from how bad it can perform.
Occasionally the game will load and perform beautifully, but most of the time performance is a fraction of that. When it's doing well, I can max it out at 1440p and get 100+ fps, those other times it's 30 ish or worse.
Tried the common proton fsync or esync options and it made no difference for me so left them off for my general playing.
