Don't even try to install this game on Linux... Bungie will PERMANENTLY BAN your account because they say "Destiny 2 on PC only supports Windows. Linux via Proton is not supported and is considered a modified operating system, as is Wine and other emulation services". Doesn't work at all with Proton from Steam. To play it, you have to download Lutris and use the "Wine Steam" runner... i think the game have a way to know if you play with native linux Steam or windows Steam...anyway, Playing it from Lutris it work flawless!
Thinkered with native demo
To use this software natively from the EpicGamesStore:
- Download the game from Epic and the demo from the official website
- Copy the excecutable "rpginabox" and the lib "libsteam_api.so" inside the folder of the game from Epic
- Open the excecutable and it should show the full game without the mark "(DEMO)" on the window.
I suggest to create a voice on Heroic with the native excecutable and hide the one from Epic.
