Simply Force to use Proton instead of Steam Linux Runtime 1.0 (scout). I used Proton 9.0.4, but it used to run flawlessly before on some older Proton, there were no native before.
After switching back and forth from proton to native and back I lost my save games. So better switch to Proton and not experiment with Native at all.
Native version starts, but cannot create or load game. Also no sound.

Game just worked out of the box running Native. I'm using KDE running on X11 not Wayland.
Native version had broken cutscenes, etc. Latest Proton GE resolved them

text is very small in handheld mode, bring the magnifying glass.
FMV not playing as others noted

Native Linux build issues : Deck controller not recognized, had to switch to touchpad layout and intro cg wasn't playing correctly. I tried Proton GE following some steam comments, and everything works as it should
Except the video all runs fine
The intro viedo has only psychedelic yellow/pinkish colours
Finished a run without issues

Change control scheme to m+k, because default scheme doesn't work.
