I set it to medium and turned off fsr 1 ( I don't like it) and the game runs great 40-50fps and looks great.

Grounded is a great little game that runs perfectly on Steam Deck.
My only issue with the game is re-the spiders in the game itself - I don't like spiders! :) - but that's purely a game content issue and has nothing to do with its ability to run. But the game is great - just imagine Subnautica with insects and spiders.

Game does not run 60 fps if you cap it so.
I had to configure around with the refresh rate and graphics in settings (I used Steam Deck Gaming's video) and you should too! After doing all of that configuring it runs around 30-45 fps in most situations, but using a light source of sorts at night can drop it down from 20-25 fps. Game is also VERY battery consuming for anyone wondering. Except 1.5hr-2hr of playtime. Overall, it's preeety good.
Change to public beta
Great fun survival game for on the go on your steamdeck. Also looks good on your TV of monitor.
Small text on steamdeck
30 fps lock, medium-low graphics
ready to game on steam deck
The only real issue is the network login screen; this works on 6.21-GE-2, so it should be fixable in the current version.
Not exactly a secondary launch window, but the built-in web browser appears blank in the default recommended version of Proton. It works on GE-Proton 6.21-GE-2, but only if you wipe the Proton data before switching to that version. After logging in to the network, you can switch back to the default recommended version of Proton and it will remember your network login.
This is a multiplayer base building game; sometimes, some of the walls in the base are rendered as completely destroyed on my client, while the game's host on Windows sees the walls just fine. I have about a hundred hours on this game on Windows and I never experienced this glitch there; it only happens on my Steam Deck.
What appears to be completely random crashes after an hour of gameplay or so. I cannot tie it to a specific feature or activity.
Network login requires downgrading to GE-Proton 6.21-GE-2 for the login step (you can switch to the recommended version afterwards); some walls in the base appear destroyed for me but not to the host; infrequent random crashes.
Without any tinkering, you can play the game in single player only, which is still a decent experience. Multiplayer requires tinkering for network login.

I deleted this file and it worked in singleplayer great "Grounded/Maine/Binaries/Win64/SpeechSynthWrapper.dll"
Multiplayer window is all WHITE. I have tried doing it the invisible way some others have done, but I can't get it to work. Offline/Singleplayer only unless you can figure that white screenout blindly.
Multiplayer can't be played unless you can get past the white login screen, which I can't but some others have.
It runs fine in singleplayer/offline mode on the Steamdeck if you delete one file, but multiplayer won't work unless you can get past the white login screen blindly (which I personally can't). As it stands, stay away if you want to play Multiplayer, if you just want singleplayer just know you must put it into experiemental version and also you will need to delete one file.
In-game settings: Display => Quality=Medium, Frame Rate Limit=Unlimited, AMD FSR=Quality, V-Sync=OFF, Motion Blur=0% / Quick Access Menu: Frame Rate Limit=45, Refresh Rate=45Hz, Thermal Power Limit=10W
The game freezes on startup on the loading screen. You need to rename 'Grounded/Maine/Binaries/Win64/SpeechSynthWrapper.dll' to 'Grounded/Maine/Binaries/Win64/SpeechSynthWrapper.dll.old' or delete it for instance. Also the Xbox Live Login screen will be invisible, you'll need to follow the steps in https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jjpNhiv9_FY in order to connect blindly to be able to play multiplayer.
Issues encountered during multiplayer are most likely game related and not a problem with proton.
The game is great fun on the Deck. The big showstoppers are the loading freeze on startup caused by 'SpeechSynthWrapper.dll' and the invisible Xbox Login screen for multiplayer which can be worked around.
Invisible Microsoft sign-in; follow YouTube tutorials to bypass: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jjpNhiv9_FY
Frame drops when using any sort of dynamic light such as torches
Multiplayer worked great once getting past the initial invisible login windows
Will not launch without forced experimental
protontricks 962130 -q dotnet40
use the Proton Experimental and protontricks in Terminal.
The invisible Xbox live login menu is gone, and login is impossible.
A little small
Xbox live login not visible, And not there either
runs great, even in mltiplayer after getting troigh the invisible xbox login. works best if you follow the youtube video mentioned below
protontricks 962130 -q dotnet40
protontricks 962130 -q dotnet40
follow the youtube video linked in the post below to get through the invisible login, took me half an hour, but it works
only works with protontricks and invisible login form, but otherwise it's great
Need to tinker with protontricks and for multiplayer need to struggle through invisible browser windows.
protontricks 962130 -q dotnet40
FSR ON @ 1152x720. SMT off, MAX CPU Frequenzy 2.4 GHz, 40 FPS lock
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jjpNhiv9_FY Followed this guide and used an external mouse & keyboard.
I set my setting to fullscreen, medium settings and 30 FPS cap, but I was averaging in the low-20s. Will need to tinker more.
protontricks 962130 -q dotnet40
To sign-in to XBOX, you need to navigate the login screen blind. As other's have mentioned you can follow this guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jjpNhiv9_FY
I could not get signed into XBOX on proton-7.0-3/Experimental, as the transparent window didn't seem to behave the same as the video, but changing to GE-Proton7-20 allowed me to sign in.
Xbox Live sign-in window doen't pop up, making online play impossible.
