-nomusic
Game crashes without the -noaudio launch option
Full screen is just a 720p square inside a big black box
Upon exiting the game, the mouse cursor would become invisible
You cannot start a new game, however you can continue an existing save. You could quickly fire up a Windows VM (or a Windows device), make a new game there, then import the save in Steam's Proton prefix folder (appid: 96100)
Aside the mouse issue, exiting the game also breaks my system in weird ways that requires a forced restart - such as no video after retarting xorg server.

-nomusic
Game only works when cutting out the music with the "-nomusic" launch argument
Game only filled a portion of the screen, looked like a 720p square
As seen here, the game crashes when creating a new game because of a lack of windows media player.

Doesn't work
I was able to install it, but I couldn't launch it from steam, neither by forcing it to use Proton Experimental compatibility.

Still Borked
I attempted to start the game and it instantly crashed. I do have a game save already started from windows at about 50%.
Game launchs but soon as you go to the New Game door the game minimizes and froze there.
Intro shows, Game starts, you can walk over to start a new game but crashes when you hit A. Only option is to abort the game.
Cannot create new game.
When I start a new game, the desktop appears and the game is in the background with only the audio working.
Games launches and you can se the title scrren buc crashes upon starting the game
Crashes upon starting new game
Does not launch at all, tried multiple Proton versions
Tries to install .NET, never succeeds.

The game start and show the menu, but crashes upon entering the 'New Game' door
Forced proton to version 5.0-10 then: protontricks 96100 dotnet35sp1 xna31 twice because xna install seemed to fail the frist time. in xna dialog selected 'Repair'

My Steam status is briefly set as playing "Defy Gravity", but soon reverts to "Online" and no window appears.

Crashes immediately. Suspect it's expecting a 32-bit version of .NET, which won't install on the default 64-bit prefix

I finally managed to launch the game
I followed this guide to make a 32 bit preset and install dotnet35 with winetricks. https://www.reddit.com/r/linux_gaming/comments/99e0kc/steam_playguide_create_custom_32bit_prefix_to/
I didn't have to follow the last part, the game worked with the 32 bits preset.
The whole thing is probably not worth it though.

Couldn't get it to work. The issue seems related to .Net

Won't Start

Doesn't start

1st run: install .Net loop. 2nd run: won't start properly, no log output.

Steam says about installing .NET, sets my status to playing for about 5 seconds and then exits
