Frame Rate: 60 FPS, TDP Limit: 4 Watts, Manual GPU Clock: 500 MHz
Keyboard must be invoked to name save files.
Save confirmations require the use of Y/N keyboard keys. It is helpful to have these keys mapped to Steam Deck controls, such as L1/R1 in "The Dig - Edge's Steam Deck Optimized" community layout.
Highly recommend using community control layout "The Dig - Edge's Steam Deck Optimized" for ease-of-play customizations applied to the button layout and analog stick acceleration.
Since the game runs at 11 fps, I reduced power to 3 watts Vsync to 20 fps and GPU to 500, to get a projected battery life of almost 8 hours, I can finish the game with one battery charge :D
Since the game runs at 11 fps by default, I reduced power to 3 watts and GPU to 500 mhz, expecting 8 hrs battery life
default DOSBOX scaling looks ugly, gimme my pixels back :)
Added a button bind for the save/options menu
Changed bumper butting to access save menu
Access to save menu needed customisation keys on bumper buttons
Works
Works very well
some graphical clutter was present on the left side of the screen as the game didn't cover whole wide screen monitor. It didn't detract from the game play though.
Runs flawlessly, highly recommended classic game. Keep in mind Alt + Enter to switch to full screen as mentioned in other reviews.
The game runs perfectly. Press ALT+ENTER to get the full screen and enjoy the game!
Perfectly

It didn't start the first few times I tried, but worked every time after reinstalling. It starts in windowed mode. Pressing Alt + Enter enters fullscreen. I also got the graphical glitch previously mentioned, but if I close it and open again it opens in fullscreen the next time without the glitch. It crashed a few times when switching between windowed and fullscreen, so I recommend using ScummVM instead.

runs perfectly windowed and fullscreen. use Alt+Enter to switch.

Game and cutscenes all work nicely! Hint with Alt+Enter for fullscreen is great! If you do that right before or after the "The DIG" title shows during the intro (ca. 1 minute in) when the screen is black, no remnants will show on the side. You can then also safely Alt+Tab out and back in. Bring up the settings dialog (with Save & Load as well) with Ctrl+F1. (In case you can not type anything in the save dialog, you unfortunately need to Alt+Enter out of fullscreen again.)

Game only launches in Windowed mode. Using Alt + Enter for fullscreen mode works, but leaves remnant image of whatever was on screen when fullscreen mode was entered on borders of screen.
