Changed to run with Proton Next(7.0-5)
When the scene changes you can still see a bit of the old scene at the top and bottom of the screen, i believe this is happening due to screen size
I added the "Enter" key as I couldn't pass the screen where you create 'employee card'
The crash happened once when i tried to input 'employee card' and hit enter key on the screen keyboard
As noted before there is this issue where you need to input 'employee card' from a keyboard, which worls fine with the on screen keyboard, however you meed to hit enter and that doesn't work and so it can be fixed by mapping one of the back buttons with the enter key
Proton fixes controller mapping issues apparent in native Linux version, but issues present in native Windows version remain.
I suspect the controller is messed also with native Windows version. The game has different layout for exploring and combat. Pressing LT in either, messes the other one.
Load-times from hdd are quite bad for the game to be this small. Probably not Proton's fault, but related to the fact game installed 20 (!) Microsoft component, which bloated the installation.

Played from a new file, up to unlocking and entering the Moth Tree in World 1 (~10-15 minutes of play) and saved there. Saw some screen tearing (Windows screen tears too) that was different than how it looks in Windows, but was perfectly acceptable. Was able to save and reload no problem. Everything else was exactly as if running on Windows.
