to fix an otherwise unavoidable crash

installed "dxvk", and it works as it should
best done using "protontricks"

Same crash after pressing Space on the title screen--but the error message is different now?
After pressing Space on the title screen, the game crashes right after the image fades out, and presents me with a dialog containing the following error message:

...As you can see here, the error message is different this time..

I was able to get past the title screen by installing d9vk using Proton Tricks.
Install the d9vk (latest) package using protontricks/winetricks to get past the title screen, this solved the problem others had with the vertex shade error.
I did try to use my dualshock 4 controller to see if it would work but I'm not sure how to get it working. It might be possible, but I just played with the keyboard instead.

Crash right after you press a button on the title screen.
A "Code Error" window appears with the following debug data:

Main screen loads, then crashes with a vertex shader error.

Installs and starts just fine, but shortly into the title sequence it crashes with a detailed error message involving vertex shaders.


Boots without issues, but when you start a game, it crashes with "FATAL ERROR in Vertex Shader compilation..."
