vcrun2005 (the library that fixed the synch error in linux for Soulstorm)
Sometimes, the rectangle for unit selection is stuck when i want to right-click. Didnt have this bug in Soulstorm so far nor in windows.
It runs a bit slower than Soulstorm on my System. Lowering the resolution dramatically improved the performance. However, the performance is significantly better on my windows dualboot.
Sadly with every multiplayer match i played so far, I got a Synch error after around 10 to 14 minutes.
If anyone encountered the same issue (synch error on multiplayer after a while) and were able to fix it, then please let me know!
The synch error fix that used to work for Soulstorm, didn't work for me so far. The old fix was simply adding the vcrun2005 DLL library via protontricks. For comparison, see the guide here: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3335693007.
Does anyone have an idea how to fix it for DE?
Starts singleplayer without issues.
NO MULTIPLAYER since Synch Error :(

Like a native app
I've downloaded and started it then went into playing the game. Having a great time, even on this integrated UHD 620 chip!

Works without any issues
I've downloaded and started it then went into playing the game. No issues at all!

Plug and play as it should!
Just downloaded it, started it and went into playing the game. No issues at all!

No issues at all. Downloaded, started, played the game. Looks gorgeous on Steam Deck, runs maxed out without any issues in 60 or even 90 fps. However I'd recommend to connect a bluetooth mouse to have a better controll over the Steam Deck shenanigans (:
I installed "ucrtbase" using protontricks. This prevents "desync" issues in multiplayer.

Script installing proper vcrun on prefix: https://github.com/isorokuYam/DoW-DE-anti-sync-error-script
Without instaling needed vcrunvel VCREDIST, multiplayer always gives Sync error, but script solves the problem

Crashes when playing Multiplayer. MP causes desync.
SP works OOB without Issues. Only MP is affected by desyncs.

Crashes after 10 minutes of gameplay. Works only on Proton 9, but multiplayer has the same desync issues on Linux
Random crashes after 10 minutes

mangohud game-performance %command%
I think mangohud is causing me issues in this and any other game so not game specific. It freezes until I alt-tab out and in on certain menus but the game played flawlessly once in
I didn't really do any tinkering just ran mangohud and game-performance like any other game
Works out of the Box :)

Singleplayer ok, multiplayer gives sync error after 5-15 minutes
Multiplayer gives Sync error and kick on every game
On every multiplayer game I had sync error after few minutes.

Game runs smooth. No issues from the box install. I didnt check mods and multiplayer
Not window mod has strange behaviour with gnome extenstion that hide top bar. Turning off extension fix the issue
Pretty much worked out of box. just needed to change to proton9.0-4. Hotfix/Experimental crashed on startup

Works out of the box
Just press play, no tinkering needed. I only played a quick skirmish to check if everything checks out and I'm definitely going to start a new campaign in the coming days.

Won't start with default proton version
Had to switch to 9.0-4

Runs perfectly, no need to tinker
We'll see in the next weeks how easy or complicated will be adding mods to the game. It's too soon for the moment.
Game only shows a fatal error: "Steam must be running to play this game." despite being launched from steam.

Works out of the box - no changes needed
Get to it gamers

Got an error stating that Steam has to be running to play when trying to launch with default Proton (game did not launch), Proton version 9.0-4 worked well

Only tried local skirmish so far but all seems to work ok no issues encountered

No issues
Steam auto selected Proton 9.0-4

Works great, no tinkering or settings needed with 9.0-4. Only played through tutorial and 1 campaign mission, with a save to test.
When a mission has a speach bubble at the top of the screen, you can not pan up, except at the corners. Units undertaking actions (capturing) don't contionue them on reloading a save

SÃ que estoy usando GE-Proton10-10 pero no creo que tenga mucha diferencia.
Runs perfectly fine

Works ootb
Just bought the veteran upgrade at basically within 1hour of the game's release (since I own all the warhammer games, it's a VIP stuff for us veterans) installed it, and hit play, and started playing. What a cool experience this is my friends. Windows can hide in corners, openSUSE Tumbleweed LINUX is for the win!!

I was having desync issues on multiplayer. I installed "vcrun2022" using protontricks on the game's wine prefix and a desync problem has not occured again.

The games uses hardware desktop resolution rather than software ; swapping resolutions fixes it

Compared with the clasic version, this one is much easier to setup and the performance is better.
Some stuttering on the audio. Was present in the classic Dawn of War for me. Mainly noticeable as the battle drags on and at the loading screen, with the intro music loop reseting.
Will update this review after trying out some mods

Set sound channels setting to high, else you won't hear units talking.
Some sync errors in multiplayer skirmish, not sure if related to linux though
Runs perfectly and without any issues!

I can't hear voices from units, background music and soud effects work.
