Works perfectly out of the box. Started with the trackpad and triggers but quickly swapped to spam tapping the screen in the more hectic tanks.
Great fun.
Toggling hardware acceleration on from ingame settings noticeably halves performance from 36fps (full speed) to 16-20fps - only when game is running in fullscreen

The game actually works perfectly in terms of running it on hardware, however, I wouldn't recommend playing the game with the deck touchscreen and/or trackpad as the later levels get really chaotic, if you connect a wireless mouse or use a dock with mouse though the game works as intended.
Only has FPS drops when you turn on the custom cursor
Didn't try it without Proton Experimental as far as I can remember, but it works completely great with it.
Runs perfectly OOTB.
The game runs with zero issues OOTB.

Out of all of Popcap's old games, this one is the only one that seems to support hardware acceleration
Weird frame rate dips before alien encounters
When enabling hardware acceleration on Popcap's other games, the menu that loads after leaving the game can't be tapped or pressed; Insaniquarium's on the other hand can, so make your Steam Deck scream with the power of acceleration!
i didn't try to get it to run in fullscreen but the screensaver exe can also be run in desktop mode using protontricks lol. would love to hear someone get it going fullscreen in gaming mode
No issues whatsoever. Very touchscreen-friendly, too.
Seamless.
Works perfectly. Carries over the bug where your game crashes if you try to alt-tab to something.
The game crashes on any attempt to alt+tab to a different window. This happens on Windows too, so it's not really a Proton issue.
This game runs exactly as I remember it running back when I had it on my old computer. It is a small game, and still enjoyable.
I had to force steam to use Proton, as it didn't know it was possible to use this game with proton by default. I used Proton 5.0-7
Runs like native.

No framedrops whatsoever. No tweaks needed, runs flawlessly. This game runs on anything.

No issues

Works Perfectly!

Runs just fine, but turning on hardware acceleration will cause issues when alt-tabbing out to another window and back. For me, it caused the game to freeze and wouldn't let me alt-tab back out to another window or anything else like that, so my only option was to force shut down my laptop. If you don't turn on hardware acceleration then the game works perfectly fine from what I can tell.

Just works

Got an "failed to extract" error when first trying to launch the game. Switched back to Proton 3.7.8 and was able to start it without problems. Then went back to 3.16-3 beta and worked fine too.

none

Everything works

Just works
