Run the game once, go into the local files, and go into worlds.cfg . Then set shaders = 0. After that it runs fine.
Black screen if you don't adjust the .cfg file.
Black screen/Resolution screwup until you run the game once and set shaders to 0 in worlds.cfg then after that the game will run perfectly.
May need to use Proton version to deal with a weird resolution issue that affects Gaming mode by simply not displaying anything, and affects desktop mode by massively messing up the resolution, and must set shaders to 0 in worlds.cfg after launching the game once or you will get a black screen.
Black screen until you turn shaders to 0 in worlds.cfg
You can run this game just fine on the Steam Deck, I even personally uploaded a steam input config for it to save you time getting the controls right after extensive testing, just know that it's going to have a black screen and simply not open in gaming mode until you edit 1 number in a text file. I advise having your first launch of the game that creates this .cfg file be in desktop mode, not gaming mode. Also, run the game in fullscreen, not windowed, or the menu mouse input will be offset.
Something of a hefty roadbump to go over before it runs which is why this has a orange thumbs down but the game DOES play perfectly fine after these steps.
black screen
only applied to native version
Neither version worked, did not try running with Proton-GE or Steam Linux Runtime.
