If not for the stuttering at start, it would be flawless. It is working far better than on Windows.
Small crackling on high sound quality setting
Force full composition pipeline needed for correct fullscreen view.
Some small stuttering at first 20-30 minutes in first missions. After that it is butter smooth, even when replaying aforementioned missions.
Clicking continue after finishing mission may crash the game. Returnining to main menu, then continue works fine- this may be bug from the game itself, I have experienced it playing the game on WinXP shortly after its release.
Tracks are spinning again!!!

Install DGVoodoo 2 from dege's website: http://dege.freeweb.hu/dgVoodoo2/dgVoodoo2/
Install Protontricks from your distro's software store or its github page: https://github.com/Matoking/protontricks
Extract DGVoodoo 2 to a dedicated file where you'll have access to it later.
Copy the MS/x86/..dll files from the extracted DGVoodoo 2 file to the Panzer Elite Action install folders, next to their .exes.
Use protontricks to select the Wine prefixes for Panzer Elite Action and open winecfg.
Use the libraries tab to add each .dll you have copied.
Apply, now the game runs smoothly, without issues.
1 digit fps even on lowest settings.
unplayable because of low framerate

Slideshow performance, like previous report. However, unlike Windows 7+ tank belts are rendered correctly.

Same issue as previous report with newest Proton. At least unlike Windows 7+, tire animation works.

Starts but is not playable as it has below 5 FPS no matter the graphical settings.
