Little bit of tweaking needed to get it to launch, but plays fine afterwards. Could be improved with some patches, but playabale now.
Launch the game, after getting the OGRE error, go to desktop mode, find the folder (SteamApps\Common\VectorThrust), copy the a_config.ini to config.ini in the same folder. The game will now launch properly.
Hud and all game text is quite small, but is readable
Input doesnt weork properly in the menus, you cant select anything in Options for example.
OGRE Error, fixed by creating a config.ini by copying the existing a_config.ini
Tried an OOB config with experimental and GE,but would receive a directx 9 error either way.
OGRE EXCEPTION RENDERINGAPIEXCEPTION FAILED TO CREATE DIRECT3D9 DEVICE

If you feel comfortable with k&m with a flight sim then you can play it mostly fine. If you want to use a controller play it on windows
Controller detected, but unable to remap the key bindings.
The game itself is pretty buggy. It can and it will crash while you play. Grab it on sale
I played 45 minutes. Everything but the campaign played ok. Might be more stable with further tinkering.
The OGRE EXCEPTION(3:RenderingAPIException): Failed to create Direct3D9 Device: bug is also present in Windows. Used the same workaround, ie, editing in my desktop resolution in the config.ini file.
Doesn't detect the axis of my xbox controller, only the buttons.
It crashes when I try to start the campaign, but all other gamemodes work ok.

An exception has occured
A black window briefly appears before crashing with the message:
OGRE EXCEPTION(3:RenderingAPIExecption): Failed to create Direct3D9 Device: Not available in D3D9RenderWindow::createD3DResources at .. \src\OgreD3D9RenderWindow.cpp (line 606)

Won't start, OGRE error.

Game fails to load with "OGRE EXCEPTION(3:RenderingAPIException): Failed to create Direct3D9 Device: Not available in D3D9RenderWindow::createD3DResources at ..\src\OgreD3D9RenderWindow.cpp (line 606)". Proton versions prior to 4.2-1 appear to either also show this message or not launch at all. Tried disabling Esync, D3d11, and using Wine D3d11 to no effect.
