To show controller icons go to options-controls and press right or left, very strange but it wokrs!
i tried the most recent version of proton i had installed and the game worked almost flawlessly, the only real issue is that the game shows keyboard prompts instead of gamepad ones, could be because i was using a PS4 controller but i dont know
Fun, breezy game, just as it was on PSP. Runs great on Deck with the caveat of showing PC keybinds instead of controller icons.
Game showed PC keybinds instead of controller inputs, but once I figured out what was what, it worked fine.

Launched the game about 6 times, and on half of them the gamepad controls didn't work. A quick exit and restart always fixed it though.
The game's current "unsupported" tag was applied a few months ago on an earler Proton version. At that time the game showed only a black screen at launch. This was fixed in a subsequent Proton update and it would certainly be verified if re-tested today.

I played nearly the full game on steam deck without any issues. I only had a crash which appear to be known on quest 26 (The return of Hol) : just switch to retro graphics for this quest. I also had it on windows BTW
Without changing proton version, you just get a black screen.

You have to set the window to Always on Top while in full screen in order to hide the panel.

I can't seem to find an option to change which version of Proton I used, but I used 5.0-10.
Loads to a black screen, can't do anything within it. Sound is working properly, though.
Tried with the latest Proton Experimental and GE releases. Reverting to an older version which helped some users, like 5.0, didn't work as the game wouldn't even load then.

The game worked as expected on proton 5.0-3 and on 5.1-GE-2, but not on lower versions of proton.
Seems to work just fine. Gotta change a setting in the ingame options to switch the prompts to use gamepad icons.
