No problems with playing fullscreen.

Fullscreen causes random crashes. Also, when I lower my volume, it crashes. Increasing it doesn't

The game works well in Windowed mode. It crashes often in fullscreen. In my eyes, this is NOT Linux compatible even though it's advertised as Native.
Proton Experimental
I either have my Steam Deck docked and use mouse and keyboard or I have my Steam Deck sitting up in handheld and us the right track pad as a mouse and use my wireless keyboard
Not sure the default controller is fully functional and I can imagine the on-screen keyboard covers a lot of the screen area so I find it easiest to use the Steam Deck docked or in handheld propped up with the track pad as a mouse and a keybaord connected
It is also possible to just use the keyboard connected and tab through the menus without having to touch the trackpad at all also
Recommend using a physical keyboard until developers fix issues using on screen keyboard.

Game has the option of writing onto printed stationary or in to a plain text box. Using SteamDeck onscreen keyboard you could use either, but neither were perfect. The keyboard would hide the bottom half of the paper, halving your character count. The textbox method would often discard what you had written when the game is meant to paste it to the paper, losing your effort.
