If your CPU is more than 16 cores it will not run and you will need to use this launch option: taskset -c 0-15 %command%
taskset -c 0-15 %command%
At first the game did not launch, i tryied many versions of proton from 8 to 5 with no luck until i saw a comment here for the user named reporter thanks to him he posted the following launch option: taskset -c 0-15 %command%
The launch option is related to cpu cores, the game can't work if your cpu has more than 16 cores of cpu, now the game is working with any proton version.

Runs as it should. Installed GOG version through heroic. Flawless 60 fps.

Videos may desync if you alt-tab out of the game during a cutscene.
The game works perfect!
He jugado por más de 3 horas y hasta el momento sin ningún problema.
Runs great out of the box

The game did not run the first time I installed it. The problem turned out to be the file system. Steam Play has trouble launching games if they are installed on a disk formatted with NTFS. After I reinstalled the game on my main EXT4 formatted disk, everything started working normally.

Had to put 'taskset -c 0-15 %command%' in the launch options as the game fails to start with more than 16 CPUs.
On the intro movie when opening the game, the audio restarted in the middle.
Game fails to launch with a wine stack overflow message.

Played flawlessly OOB using Xbox 360 controller with xboxdrv and default config

The game works perfectly. Graphics, sound and controls.

Plays perfectly. Smooth like butter.

Perfect out of the box. The controller even vibrates.

Working perfectly out of the box.

The game was tested with proton 4.2-3. Everything works in general (music, games, menus, etc.). In a matter of performance, it goes smoothly. I did not modify anything of proton.

All working fine, decent performance.

Ayumi model is incorrectly rendered (even on the menu screen) with various polygons missing. This creates a freakish zombie effect where you can see through parts of her head to her hair, see her teeth through her cheeks etc. Tried esync, d3d11, wind3d11 tweaks, but no better. Tried turning down all the fancy graphics settings, no better. Very weird considering all the platinum reviews here. Gameplay is fine. Great for zombie wannabe's :) Debated a silver rating, but serious graphics issue => uncomfortable play.

Everything is working.

As well as the base game, the Dismal Swamp and Limited Edition dlc is loaded up too.

Runs perfectly, also with controller. Has a small glitch in the start-up scene (sound is repeating).

In previous versions of Proton, it ran perfectly without any intervention at all, however when I tried to start the game this time, it wouldn't. I deleted the prefix and let Steam generate a new one and its now working normally again.

DS4 works, settings appear to work, performance is good, audio is good.

Perfect

Runs perfectly, no tweaks needed.

Flawless and with great performance.
