Fullscreen completely hides window buttons.
Seems like after some time of playthrough (1 hour maybe) the game starts to get really slow. Mouse inputs and sound start to desync.
Your Turn To Die will need a 32-bit Windows 10 machine to run properly on its Standalone .exe. That can be configured through WineGUI. Currently 64-bit Windows 10 Machine doesn't work and i didn't test other combinations since i wanted to run through Steam to get achievements and playing hours.
It is recommended to get the lib32-gnutls
package too.
When it comes to launching through Steam, here are the versions of Proton that worked for me:
- 4.2-9;
- 4.11-13.
Proton 5.0-10 and up resulted in the executable launching and then stopping without even a window popping. I recommend changing only the application's compatibility option by right-clicking on the game and going to properties. In the compatibility tab, select the versions i mentioned in case you have the same problem.
The game consistently crashes after playing for a couple of minutes

Played the whole first part of Chapter 1 and a good chunk of the second part with no hassle whatsoever, no freeze, no crash at any point.
Didn't have to change anything. Works perfectly out of the box.
Taskbar flickers when you click in fullscreen mode (Manjaro KDE)
Game sometimes lags after long periods of play
Great game with only one major graphical bug that might drive some linux players to avoid it
When in full screen, the game flickers in and out to the application "behind" the game. i.e. if you launched the game form your desktop it flickers to your desktop. If you launch it from your steam library your steam library will flicker to your steam library
It runs almost flawlessly on linux, however at least with my setup (rx6700 using Plasma (Wayland)), the flickering to the application "behind" the game is really annoying. If you want the fullscreen experience though you can simply just adjust the window size to the size of your screen though and that removes the flickering bug. Apart from that it runs flawlessly with no other real bug or error that I could find.
The game freezes after the very opening majority vote example when you get arms and the black screen.
The game freezes right after the first example of a Majority Vote is shown. Once you get past that part though, a little over an hour in and no issues. If you want to do that on the Deck, use Lutris with a Wine runner to get past the early freeze point and then save the game and you can go back to using the normal SteamOS to play. Or you can use a computer to accomplish the same thing with Steam Cloud saving.
