Used the Deck Plugin LetMeReshade, since I'm usinf FSR 2, I applied the "AMD FidelityFX™ Contrast Adaptive Sharpening (CAS)" shader for more sharperness

The game runs fine. FSR is set to performance by default, I'd recommend setting it to quality for better clarity and locking FPS to 40.

Some of the puzzles are hard to read and require you to get further to the screen.
For whatever reason the game randomly crashes on me with GE Proton. But overall the experience and performance is pretty great, it dips to around 30 FPS during heavy fights but is still pretty playable.

I've locked the game to 40 FPS for smooth frame times. Occasionally the game dips below 40 in busy areas (mostly the village when it's stormy).
Key graphic settings for the Steam Deck OLED:

- Particle Lighting: High
- Subsurface Scattering: On
- Ambient Occlusion: FidelityFX CACAO

Locked 40 FPS TDP 12W
There are spots where you can't really read the text without gettings closer to the screen etc.
Given everything is on low and playing with FSR Quality it's expected that some graphics could get really bad. But if you don't care about some muddy textures here and there etc. it's fine.
The game is a little too hard for me but when you get the combat rhythm down it's really fun.

Enable the game's built in FSR2 (set to "quality") in its video/graphics settings and it maintains a totally stable 40 FPS lock in handheld mode. Same settings on a docked display and you'll even maintain 60 sometimes, but it mostly bounces between 40 and 60. Regardless, looks and runs great and all you really gotta do is toggle FSR2. You could probably get some better looking results mixing and matching, and definitely so with a 30 FPS lock, but this was good enough for me.

https://github.com/praydog/REFramework incase re4 crashed with 0x200000 error use this github and download all the files and extract to game directory... seperate ways messed up re4 i couldnt boot into the game. this worked for me, also lower the scope resolution in reframework so that your fps doesnt drop when you use scope. GLHF
shader issue
scope drops fps to 10

I've ended up with a problem where the second slot save game can't be loaded. Tried saving over it and updating with cloud sync from PC and it's still broken. Just using a different slot to get around it.
Set graphics low to medium, and keep all the nice lighting and shadow effects. Set to 40FPS and it's solid most of the time. I set FSR to quality, to reduce GPU load and keep things at 40FPS.

See end notes.
FSR in this game isn't implemented as well as it could be, but it is fine for the most part. You stop noticing the slight blurryness after a while.
I highly recommend following this guide on SteamDeckHQ to get the most out of this game on the Deck.

Works right away, one of the better AAA releases this year that run great on the Steam Deck
40hz/40fps, Power Limit at 10 Watts and Allow Tearing
Don't have to change a thing, just start it up and it works wonderfully. One of the best AAA experiences on the Steam Deck, works wonderfully and you don't have to change a thing.
Limit to 30 FPS
In some heavy populated areas you will lose some FPS, but no big deal
For a good balance between quality-performance, follow YT video made by Pixel Deck - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CIUuhCV8V5E
Capped at 40fps
You can get a mostly stable 40fps on the Deck on all low settings with FSR set to Quality mode. The only frame drops I got were during the initial village fight and very rarely during some more hectic fights when there are a lot of effects on screen at once. 95% of the time the 40fps was Stable.
The game runs great on 30 FPS. You need to set the UMA buffer to 2GB in the bios. Instructions: UMA buffer - https://youtube.com/shorts/8PKHha2CjqI?feature=share Great setup from pixel deck - https://youtu.be/CIUuhCV8V5E

The game seems to mostly be working great, but i had an issue at the beginning where one cutscene caused me to not be able to progress. After restarting to my last save it worked perfectly again.
I tried pushing the graphics a bit and the experience was great, the game ran above 30 fps for most of the time with some very occasional and minor dips in the most chaotic segments. There were a couple of cutscenes where the framerate dropped to the low 20s but that's about it. During the entire story campaign I had two glitches: I fell through the floor during the final bossfight and had to close the game, then Leon got stuck in a struggling animation on my second playthrough at the end of chapter 5 and I had to reload the previous save.
My settings: Unlocked framerate (drastically reduces input lag while aiming, ymmv but with motion blur on it doesn't feel too jittery); 720p native (FSR off, image quality 100%); [Rendering Mode] Normal; [Anti-aliasing] TAA + FXAA; [Texture Quality] Low-0 GB (anything above would stress the CPU too much imho, same thing happens to the Resident Evil 2 Remake where Low textures allowed me to lock the game to 60 fps); [Texture Filtering] Medium - Trilinear; [Mesh Quality] Low; [Shadow Quality] Low; [Shadow Cache] On; [Contact Shadows] Off; [Ambient Occlusion] SSAO; [Volumetric Lighting] Min; [Particle Lighting Quality] Low;[Bloom] On; [Screen Space Reflections] Off; [Subsurface Scattering] Off; [Hair Strands] Off (tanks performance heavily but you can turn it on if you leave everything else on Low/Off and get a locked 30 with FSR 2 Quality); [Graphic Dismemberment] Off; [Persistent Corpses] Few; [Corpse Physics] Low; [Diverse Enemy Animations] On; [Motion Blur] On; [Rain Quality] High; [Terrain] Off; [Destructible Environments] On; [Lens Flare] On; [Lens Distortion] Off (it makes the image blurry); [Depth of Field] On; [Resource-Intense Lighting Quality] High; [Resource-Intense Effects Quality] Low.

Works flawessly with balanced options out of the box, even without fsr2 for the majority of time with 30~40 fps, I capped at 30.
Just a few times when things gets REALLY BUSY fps got below 30 but then fsr2 holded it like a champ in these circunstances, not even a single crash, bug or anything unexpected.
Works great out of the box, minors FPS drops, only noticed bug, is a bigger FPS drop when aiming with rifle using scope (from 40 to 24/28)
FSR em Qualidade, reduçao de algumas opções graficas
Queda de FPS quando mirando com spiner usando mira telescópica
No tweaks, it just works!
You can even crank up the graphics a bit, and the game UI is very nice for that as you can see how much resources each option is going to take. I enabled SSS, SSAO, shadow, bloom, etc. and I get a steady 30 fps (I'd say 40 fps in average).
Stutters when switching major areas. Heavy slowdown when viewing trough scope.
Playing mostly trough a hub to HDMI monitor. 1080p + FSR2 Performance and mostly low settings. ~35fps on busiest areas
Overall, 30 fps seems solid, had to make some lower graphical changes. Scoped weapons will cause drop from 40 to 30fps (Rendered to Texture)
Solid example. Had to turn down most graphics just to get hit 40fps, but found that scopes were the biggest hit once tested. 60fps is possible in some areas, but the Fishing Village near the lake is MUCH heavier than most early areas, so 30fps seems like the only solid frame rate you'll get.
Scoped weapons, like the rifles, will also impact frame rate. I didn't make it all the way through the game on my steam deck yet, but so far, the fishing village felt like it would be the most intense due to it's location, amount of objects and water, etc. I did load up saves in later areas though, and so far most areas seemed like it was fine. Haven't tested with most boss fights. Disabling things that are heavy on the GPU, like hair physics, particle lighting, etc will improve performance. (If scoped weapons had an option for zoom view vs the render to texture option, we could get a solid 40fps in all areas, imo)
Limited to 30fps, excellent battery life (~2 hours)
With Proton Experimental this works flawless on my Steam Deck (Chapter 6). I will update after finishing my playthrough
FPS-limit=30, mid to low graphical settings
Runs fairly well at a mostly locked 40 fps with most settings set to the lowest with high textures and FSR 2 at balanced setting.
Small fps dips but overall performs well
Ran perfectly out the box, 60 fps without changing settings, couple stutters here and there but barely noticable and most likely shaders

While the particle issues is gone, the inconsistent frame rate drops that range from 25 to 60 fps makes it uncomfortable to play.
Inconsistent frame rate drops that go from 25 fps to suddenly 60 fps, it's annoying
This is the Chainsaw Demo, hopefully the full game release will be completely smooth
