Game works great in act one, there are frame drops in act 2/3 but it doesn't detract from the game overall.

Default text size is a bit small but you can increase the size in the options, as well as add black background to subtitles
Sometimes I would have to reboot the game 2/3 times as my wired xbox controller would not work in game at the main menu. This only ever happened on launching the game, never during mid gameplay. Couldn't find a way to replicate it, seemed to happen at random. Steam Deck default controls always worked fine.
Frame rate is mostly locked at 30fps in act 1, experienced regular frame dips in Act 2/3 down to around 25 fps at times. Most of these frame drops were when traversing the open world. When talking to NPC's and exploring indoor buildings frame rate was stable 30.
Game doesn't run perfectly but minor frame drops in heavy areas don't detract from the overall experience. The combat is turn based so any slow down won't result in your death of any negative consequences. Sometimes my Xbox controller wouldn't be recognised and would have to reboot game, wasn't able to find a reason this happened seemed at random. Was running the game off an SD card so had long loading times when travelling to new areas.
Had to assign mouse click to button to navigate launcher
When resuming from sleep mode occassionaly had no audio, couldn't replicate consistently but only seemed to happen about 5% of the time. Fixed by restarting the game.
When using turn based mode from Memoria launcher, the game would crash when resuming from sleep mode.
Mostly works fine at 60fps and with mods. Occasional audio loss on waking from sleep. If turn based mod is turned on it will crash on waking from sleep mode
You have to manually bring up the keyboard to enter your name at the start, apart from that runs fine
Works fine out of the box, frame rate is pretty stable 53-55 on the deck., I capped at 50 and it stayed locked the entire tiime
Works flawlessly if you boot with an internet connection. Won't boot if you're offline, however if you disconnect from the internet with the game running, it still runs fine.
Capped at 40fps
You can get a mostly stable 40fps on the Deck on all low settings with FSR set to Quality mode. The only frame drops I got were during the initial village fight and very rarely during some more hectic fights when there are a lot of effects on screen at once. 95% of the time the 40fps was Stable.
I manually remapped the controls, the game is not designed for a controller but the input can all be remapped to button presses and using the right trackpad as a mouse the game works fine. I can be a bit finicky at times but completely playable.
Game runs fine, however you will have to use a community layout, or remap the controls yourself if you're on Deck. Most of the input is done via keyboard so it's easy to remap. Using the right touch pad as a mouse, the game is perfectly playable. It can be a bit janky trying to move furniture when using the track pad but apart from that I had no issues.
There are multiple endings locked behind a free DLC, this won't work on Steam Deck or Linux, you can still "finish" the game on Steam deck or Linux, but you will be locked out of a large part of the story.
The game is supposed to be played multiple times, with the story gradually being revealed by the different endings. However to get all the endings you need to download a free DLC for the game. This DLC doesn't work on Steam Deck or Linux. There is also part of the game that requires visiting Twitter and downloading a PDF to unlock an ending, you can do this on Linux Desktop mode, but not Steam Deck Gaming Mode.
Also every time you create a save game it asks you to enter save name, but the steam deck keyboard doesn't appear so you have to do it manually (You can save without typing anything in).
There are two instances where you have to enter a line of text manually with the keyboard to load a new area and the Steam Deck keyboard doesn't appear and you have to manually press Steam + X then type in the address.
