this is the first game where i used the built in Mic which was awesome although id switch press to talk and map that to a back button. made things easier instead of picking up all the noise in my house
great game for deck owners plays great without proton or tinkering
Problems reading the worth of each item.

-nojoy -nosteamcontroller
Changed Right Trackpad to Mouse. Made Back Buttons emote and keyboard.
Button prompts would sometimes be incorrect and show keyboard icons.
Played with friend that gifted me it
If you want to use mods use WINEDLLOVERIDES="winhttp.dll=n,b" %command% -nojoy -nosteamcontroller

Lethal Company is hilarious on Deck. Having to use the touchscreen to type on the terminal adds to the multiplayer hijinks
Bound the 1 and 2 keys to back buttons to easily emote, as well as a open virtual keyboard shortcut when using the ship's terminal, and the last back button as a push to talk button
The performance drops when inside the ship but when you exit the framedrops are gone and it maintains a smooth solid 60FPS
Multiplayer works as good as it does on Windows.

I'm playing with mouse and keyboard and when you start a game I have to just tilt my left joystick to prevent me from only running instead of simply walking.
sometimes when coming back to the ship you experience a drop in FPS on foggy maps

Overall, the game runs smoothly, there are no significant issues other than the trigger button mapping on Steam Deck.
WINEDLLOVERRIDES="winhttp.dll=n,b" %command%
If you are still experiencing problems with main item action/sprint and are not planning on playing using gamepad - you need to rebind gamepad's controls for those. Change them from left/right triggers (default keybinds) to some other buttons. Seems like the game does not recognise them properly with Steam Deck.

Limiting the framerate can marginally improve battery life. I recommend limiting to 30 or 40 FPS regardless, as the performance on moons will be smoother.
Controller support seems to be resolved in v49. I no longer experience issues others have reported about older versions of the game.
-nojoy -nosteamcontroller
Experiencing issue with sprinting and main item action since last update. Common workaround (using -nojoy and -nosteamcontroller launch options, disabling steam input and pressing buttons/triggers on the deck itself) stopped working. Tried both with latest GE (GE-Proton8-27) and Proton Experimental - no luck.

WINEDLLOVERRIDES="winhttp.dll=n,b" %command% -nojoy -nosteamcontroller
Needs -nojoy and -nosteamcontroller to fully disable controller input

FPS dramatically drops inside the ship when it's landed (30 ~ 35 FPS) and has some in-game V-Sync problems
Used protontricks in order to override the library winhttp, which is required for mods to work.
Using the default settings, the game will drop to 40 fps outside of the ship (60 Hz). A way to fix this is to remove vsync in-game (In Settings, under Display -> Frame rate cap). From Use monitor (V-Sync) to 120 fps or higher. If vsync is desired, use the Deck's framerate cap + vsync. I am also running the HDLethalCompany mod (https://github.com/Sligili/HDLethalCompany) in order to specifically lower shadow quality, which is High by default and it cannot be changed in-game. With these settings, the game hits a stable 60 FPS outside of the ship in Experimentation (was 40 before tinkering) and a stable 60 FPS inside the building, but drops all the way to 35 FPS inside the ship. Tested in an empty lobby hosted by self.
The game is playable and enjoyable.

Left click is not properly registered for activating items, and sprinting automatically happens always (pressing R1/R2 on the deck fixed this however!)
Mods installed through r2modman, other methods untested
Aside from the mouse issues that happen every startup, the game works fine.

A very fun multiplayer game and perfect for the deck given a few tinkering in docked mod.
WINEDLLOVERRIDES="winhttp.dll=n,b", %command% (with mods)
playing in docked with keyboard + mouse makes it so you auto sprint and mouse left click can't be used. This can be fixed by pressing buttons on the actual deck when a round begins.
Able to connect to anyone online
You are able to use mods by directly installing them to the lethal company steam folder. I was able to get morecompany to work by using x64 version of BepInEx (https://github.com/BepInEx/BepInEx/releases/tag/v5.4.22), extracting the files into the lethal folder, adding WINEDLLOVERRIDES="winhttp.dll=n,b", %command% as a the launch option then opening the game, dropping the morecompany mod (https://thunderstore.io/c/lethal-company/p/notnotnotswipez/MoreCompany/) into the newly created plugin folder and finally opening the game back up.

Certain UI text can be hard to make out. Pretty minimal gameplay impact.
During one round my framerate was suddenly cut in half this and this persisted until restart. Only other issue is that left mouse click consistently doesn't work in-game until I press the corresponding button on the Deck console; this has to be done every time the game is booted up. Affortmentioned issue is trivial and doesn't affect the game experience.
No issues hosting or connecting to games

Mouse buttons do not work until trigger(s) are pressed after game start. In order to use mouse+keyboard controls the game must be started with the "-nojoy" option, and steam input disabled. Mods loaded via the game folder do not work.

I can't left click to activate items but one other person mentioned it as an existing bug so it might not be due to linux
Flashlight doesn't seem to register left clicks, I got it to work once, not sure if it's a steam deck issue
Could join people just fine, I only hosted twice but both times encountered an issue that kicked all the other players out
I tried native, proton experimental, and proton ge 8-0.2 (I think, whatever the most recent one is) and native works just fine, no real need for proton here
