Game just worked out of the box (I'm using KDE running on X11 not Wayland)
gamemoderun %command%

Witht he experimental Proton the game runs pretty well without graphical glitches. Text size can be readable, set the text size to 150%. Played the game with mouse and keyboard on Steam Deck.

Test is small
Works perfectly fine

Works perfectly out of the box.
Tested campaign, cutscenes, conquest mode, multiplayer pvp. Everything works perfectly out of the box.
Everything looks fine except for cutscenes where there is severe texture/model distortion

Loads with the right Proton, but only gets 1fps and pixelated graphics
Tried with GE 8-17 and Proton 8.0-4 and it hung on the copyright for 30s then "crashed" with a dialog but started showing the video logo for the developer. It loaded with Proton 7.0-6 after saying that my very up-to-date graphics drivers (535.113.01) are out of date, but the keyboard wasn't working. When I started a mission, the video runs at 1fps and is a mix of pixelated like a 1990s game (especially around the hair) but also clearly well textures (faces).

Works out of the box, no problems whatsoever. Some people seem to have issues with DLSS, I did not try that so be wary.
No multiplayer in the demo so couldn't test that, but works perfectly for now.

slight input lag
Game worked with humanoid race perfectly, but picking orks race resulted in a crash in loading game.
Game is new multiplayer beta and windows users had reported some lag problems also.
might be a solid experience after beta woes are ironed out.
