No issues in a normal multiplayer matchmaking lobby.
Using anything other than Proton Hotfix(GE-Proton/umu-proton included) caused me to crash after 2-3 minutes in-game. Nothing notable from the PROTON_LOGS output that pointed to the crash. Decent performance at around ~90-120 FPS on low/medium settings which is to be expected with my setup. TAAU upscaling, as with many other games; swapping upscaling techniques while in-game will almost certainly cause issues/poor performance until restarting the game.

gamemoderun SteamDeck=1 %command%
No tuve ningún problema, tal vez usaba demasiado GPU en ocasiones, pero se entiende por el mapa y los objetos en pantalla.
Besides the ray-tracing problem I encoutenred on the buried city map, I had no problem at all. The game is fully playable.
Ray Tracing seems to fail at epic setting in the buried city, causing a great loss of FPS and constant flashing. Dawongrading it to medium specifically on this map resolves the problem. Otherwise, no artefact at all.
If you change window to another application, you may lose mouse control on the game.
It seems that if you're not the party leader and you get ready before the leader, the matchmaking does not start and the leader has to stop and restart the matchmaking.
I ha to tinker because at the time I tested the game, there was a Proton bug resolved only on the Experimental Bleeding-edge branch. Once merged into a stable branch, no tinkering will be necessary.

gamemoderun %command%
The game would crash after 5 or 10 minutes until I enabled Proton Experimental. After that, no crashes at all.
The performance is also very promising. Specially for a playtest. Upscaling is an option, but not a must.

Works perfectly no tinker to do i'd say that's "plug & play"

Works with Proton Hotfix. No other config needed.

Nvidia DX12
Crashes within 1-3 minutes on all versions of proton EXCEPT Proton Hotfix, which is crashes after about 10-15 minutes...
Hopefully this is fixed for release.

main menu seems to be in sort of vsync and is not as responsive, no problems in match tho

-dx11
Nvidia is still trash on directx12 title switch to dx11 in launch options
EAC works, for now...
dx11 for higher fps some stuttering when use this setting, other then that its great

Minor

Minor
Crashes after 1-3min
Also tried proton 10 beta and GE 9-27 without success

small stuttering using directx11
small stutters when using -dx11 binary other then that its a smooth experience!
The audio is godly!

Force it to run under Proton Hotfix, only use (SDL_VIDEO_DRIVER=wayland) if you are using wayland or Xwayland
gamemoderun SteamDeck=1 %command% SDL_VIDEO_DRIVER=wayland
Runs a little slow sometimes
It crashes after 3 minutes if proton Hotfix is not run
Good luck

Just install and play. Runs awesome!
Using Proton Experimental [bleeding-edge] I was able to play and am having a blast in the play test!
Switched to proton bleeding edge beta.

mangohud gamemoderun %command%
MAKE SURE YOU HAVE PROTON EASY ANTI CHEAT RUNTIME INSTALLED!!!
Use Proton Exprimental (Bleeding Edge)
How to enable Bleeding Edge in Proton Experimental you ask? Just search for Proton Experimental in your library right click on it then choose "Betas" then choose bleeding-edge - latest and untested
with this im able to enter in the game played a few rounds no issues what so ever :)

Works fine as long as you are using Proton Hotfix. This will likely not be required in the future.
MUST USE PROTON HOTFIX OR WILL CRASH WITHIN 1-5 MINUTES! Tried GE, Experimental, Bleeding Edge, Proton 10.0 Beta, etc. Must use Hotfix.
Use Proton Hotfix if your preferred version isn't working

Tried Proton-GE, Proton Experimental, Proton Bleeding Edge, Proton 10.0 beta, etc. With and without MangoHUD, fullscreen and borderless.
Unplayable due to crashing. Crashes within 5 minutes.
I hope Embark can get this to The Finals standard on Linux. I understand it's an early preview.

The first day of the technical Alpha (2) was non-functional. On the second day, it's now functional out of the box.
No major issues compared to any other online shooter.

random crash
I added some random launch arguments and this got it to run, no idea why

I think this could be nvidia drivers but the game ran flawlessly for an hour or so but eventually moving the mouse translates to massive stutters. It happens in a couple of other games too though

latest bleeding edge is working
game-performance %command%
Could only launch it with Proton Experimental, takes a couple tries to start. I've experienced lots of crashes, can't properly finish a game/match without it crashing. Has for my time in-game I had no stutters, or bugs (excluding the crashes).

Crashes after a few minutes
I got past the tutorial on a windows box, tried again with proton and crashes a few minutes in the main menu.

New Patch allowed me to make it further but still crashes in tutorial
PROTON_EAC_RUNTIME=1 gamemoderun __GL_SHADER_DISK_CACHE_SKIP_CLEANUP=1 %command% -useallavailablecores gamemoderun PROTON_PREFER_SDL=1 %command% -
All settings minimal and reflex off, as well as fps locked to monitor refresh rate. No game logs found.

Currently entirely broken (same issues as Embark's other game "THE FINALS")
LD_PRELOAD="" SDL_VIDEODRIVER='windows' PROTON_PREFER_SDL=1 PROTON_EAC_RUNTIME=1; %command% -USEALLAVALIABLECORES -r.CreateShadersOnLoad=1 r.SkinCache.CompileShaders=1
[Note: subject to change as this is coming from the playtest] Freezes after a short bit, making the game unplayable, apparently people say this is something related to EAC. I am using Proton Experimental bleeding edge with the EAC runtime's test branch.
Can't play the game at all due to frequent crashing - I can't recommend playing this on Linux in it's current state.
Tried Proton 9.0-4, Hotfix and Experimental - all seem to crash frequently and within only a few minutes of launching the game.

Game starts and runs fine before freezing within 3-10 minutes. Freezing can occur in loading, during tutorial or initial cutscene.
Tried Proton Hotfix and Experimental
Game clearly runs smoothly during tutorial, freezes must be unrelated to performance or proton?
Among all proton versions, experimental ran the longest before a crash. Every proton version resulted in a crash at some point within the tutorial mission.
Theres definitely promise in lunux support as each time the tutorial started you could play for some extent perfectly fine before an abrupt crash. (Also important to notw this was the TT2 playtest)

Can't play the game if it crashes every 2 mins.
Able to start the tutorial and then I crash within 1-2 mins of playing.
This is an early Alpha technical test report. It will become very stale very quickly. I suspect they will either fix it and support Linux or they'll say they're not supporting Linux. This seems like an early dev bug.

Game crashes after 1-10 minutes
Well, that sucks.

PROTON_LOG=1 PROTON_ENABLE_NVAPI=1 %command%
Consistently crashes during the tutorial; between 1 and 10 minutes.
The game isn't released yet, so some instability is expected. I think the culprit here is EasyAntiCheat, but I can't be sure. Proton logs seem to indicate failing sys-calls.

game freezes after couple minutes of gameplay
unplayable at the moment

launched, got to intro video and then hung.
Tried with proton experimental and proton cachyos happened both times.

not stable enought yet
crashes about 1 minute into the tutorial consistently
hopefully the game will be fixed in the future. I will try again and update my report.

Got into tutorial, but after a while it crashes.
Crash can also happen during shader compilation and initial cinematic.

Frequent freezing requiring me to restart the game
I was able to start playing the game, but it keeps freezing within a few minutes of each restart. This seems to occur when I click in in-game menus. It's not always on the first click.
