Screen transitions seem to be broken, fixed it by forcing Game Resolution to 1920x1080 in the General menu of the Steam Deck UI

The videos will still not play so you need to disable playback in the options straightaway.
Auto mode seems to quickly lose sync and pretty much just stop advancing itself.
Sometimes an addtional mouse click is needed to make the game advance (e.g., during location change scene transitions including starting the game, heading back to title screen, quitting the game). It's not annoying but it's good to be aware of so you don't wait around on the game for no reason.

I could only get this to actually run in desktop mode. The first video that plays around 1-2 minutes after starting will not play and freezes the game. After this, I streamed the game from a Windows 10 PC to the Steam Deck and the video played but I could only hear the audio even though I could see the video playing just fine on the host PC.
There is an option to disable videos which (probably) fixes the issue of the game freezing once a video is supposed to play. I still am not sure why it will not run outside of desktop mode for me.
Text is unreadable, with glitches in game causing black panels to cover sections of text and background
Screen glitches on third text panel - whole screen on deck goes dark except for bottom right square of text
The screen kept blacking out in the start menu except for the corners where/when the cursor hovered over a menu option. Once game started, first two text panels were fine, but on third panel, screen flickered to black over all except for where the text was being read into, until it reached the end of the line, where all of the screen but for the final words were blacked out.
