Not for everyone, but I like tinkering with gadgets and scripting in LUA. Aswell as playing other people's creations.
The Gadget Launcher that starts up after you close the game (on your taskbar) that allows you to launch gadgets on your desktop to play with does not work and just crashes the game.

It is good, with the exception of exporting to the workshop.
The game overall works perfectly, execpt for the fact that uploading to the Steam workshop is not possible and just produces an empty workshop entry and prevents interaction in the game and thus requires a restart.

Probably works fine with standard Proton, but I use GE as default.
Played +40 hours on fresh Windows OS that I reinstalled bc I thought a new game like this wouldnt be supported by Proton yet. That Windows OS once again started getting blue screen's just out of the blue today. Idk what the reason, only started happening after I spent alot of time using Retro Gadgets in-game sprite editor on the windows OS version. Since it installs (after enabling proton--experimental) and runs on Ubuntu, I can go back to using my main linux OS. I will update any noticable differences after some hours.
It's hard to write program with the Deck keyboard. But running the gadgets is really ok

gamescope -w 1920 -h 1080 -W 2560 -H 1440 -f %command%
Upscaled resolution to 1440p

DEMO: nope for now
will tinker a bit to see if it works, will report later
