Requires some strange tinkering but after that it playable enough. Borked without tinkering. Will crush at the black screen.
I'm relatively new in Linux gaming so i probably did some extra steps in my configuration but it works and there is my step-by-step solution that worked for me:
- Open protontricks and choose Fangs
- Install an application
- Cancell
- Run winecfg
- Change Windows version to Windows 10 and Ok
- Run uninstaller
- Remove both (i had 2) entries for Microsoft Visual C++ and Ok
- Install a Windows DLL or component
- Find
vcrun2019check it and proceed with installation ignoring winetricks errors. But if there is an error during installation, then I do not know what to do.
After that, you can try to launch the game. It will install some Unreal Engine stuff. Close the window after installation and start the game again. It should now work just fine.
Probably is a game problem because of Early Access. But might be some error with Proton.
Stutters at start of first 2-3 matches. Then it Ok for me. Playing in Low graphical settings.
Crashed after 6 games in the main menu.
Works fine. Little lag here and there, but most probably Early Access issue.

jogo não iniciar e so fica na tela preta chegando a trava o computador.
the UE4PrereqSetup_x64.exe inside of $GamePath/Engine/Extras/Redist/en-us must be install in order to run the game properly, otherwise you'll be facing a black screen.
wayland problems, to fix use gamescope -H 1080 -f %command%
The in general is playable, which is nice considering that the alpha didn't. However, it has big performance issues even on lowest settings
The animation at the start of the game, the end of game popup and the main menu background were all just white
The mouse cursor always had a decent amount of lag behind where it should be. Sometimes it showed my system cursor in menus, which was a lot snappier
The Game keeps lagging even on lowest settings and there is a constant stutteryness that makes it hard to keep track of things
The performance issues make it hard to keep track of fights and to properly land and dodge abilities
With the default install the game just freeze in a black screen.
To fix this you need to manually install the UE4PrereqSetup_x64.exe (vcrun2019 x64) inside your $STEAMPATH/FANGS/Engine/Extras/Redist/en-us

If you're playing in wayland install gamescope and use gamescope -H 1080 -f %command%
