Occasionally the game would get "stuck" for a number of seconds before it would finally load the next text batch. I have a bad habit of hitting a key over and over when things are frozen. Those repeated button presses stack up, making you jump you forward several new text batches when it finally un-freezes. Luckily for me, the left trigger lets us go backwards one text box at a time, so I got back to where I was supposed to be quickly.
Aside from slight difficulty with intermittent lag and it being harder to see the hints of where to click in certain scenes, this game plays perfectly on the Steam Deck. Overall, I'm impressed at how well it ran the seamless way the menus accept the controller layout.
