You need a beefy PC to run this at full speed and max settings.

Works near flawlessly. Note that toggling V-Sync can crash the game and the final area can indeed lag a bit more than on Windows.

The final level, Utopia Shelter, has worse performance on Linux than it does on Windows, more noticably in the second part.
No issues

No primeiro loading do jogo, quando aparece o chapéu, o jogo crasha

Minor UI positioning issues (may of been fixed since i played)
I played the game at launch and at the time you needed to use protonGE or videos in the game would look corrupted. I know this issue has since been fixed.
Proton-GE is likely still required for FMV cutscenes; those appear later on in the game, though I didn't test the game using vanilla Proton.
No bugs or major issues to note. Generally maintains a very respectable 50-60 FPS 90% of the time with the "Low" graphical preset, with the dipping into the 50s happening in more intensive level segments. The final level, Utopia Shelter, often unavoidably dips to 30-40 FPS, however, presumably because of its sheer size. As others have said, it is recommended to set the resolution to 1280x720 to preserve your FOV and avoid cropping.
The default resolution is 1080p and is only changeable when in gameplay in a level.
The game works well without doing any modifications, however the custscenes appear as black screens, proton GE is required to see them.
Steam Deck almost performs as well as me on this game (that's a good thing, don't even try to say otherwise).
The only thing you should change is the resolution, by default it will be 1080p and what it does is zooms in to the center of the screen, and crops anything out that doesn't fit on your cute little 800p display. This means reduced fov, the HUD usually stays in frame but some text will slightly cut off which is how I noticed this!
The fix is to just use 720p as there are no 16:10 resolutions, yes you get some black bars at the top and bottom but you'll zone out from them don't worry 😅, the extra fov is worth it! If the black bars do annoy you too much and you don't mind the zoomed in fov caused by 1080p though, its not so bad and is totally playable, its your call.
Updating my prior report; After experimenting it seems if your hardware is not higher end, the game ultimately DOES run worse Windows
Vsync OFF is a must on Linux if not on high end hardware, the performance tanks with it on. For my AMD 5900 + RTX 3080, linux runs about the same as Windows, with Prison Area 4 running slightly worse, but other stages maintain the max framerate I specify. On a i7 with a GTX 1070 GPU, the linux vs windows performance difference is massive.
I also experimented with steam's recommended proton and it runs about the same as GE 7-42
Runs just as good as Windows! I've played the entire game and also went speed medal hunting on linux
Game unable to restore itself when returning with Alt-Tab (frozen black window)
I swap back and forth between a windows/linux machine and had no issues with Cloud sync juggling the save back and forth. No noticable issues on Linux* barring Alt-Tab crashing.
Hit Play and it just worked
All videos played and everything ran just as expected. Only oddity was the game window appearing behind my taskbar during some screen transitions, but these were never intrusive as it was always during a loading screen before or after a stage and never any other time.
Played with an XboxOne controller using an 8BitDo wireless reciever (older model, no bluetooth) and everything worked without a hitch.
VRAM usage goes beyond the 2GB my graphic card has on level load, drops to 5 fps
Seems to be nvidia+dxvk specific, it's likely fine on AMD and other GPUs with more vram
On windows with the same hardware it typically stays below 1.8GB VRAM usage
Heard there was a bug with cutscenes but I didn't find that issue. Maybe Valve fixed that with a Proton update.
Everything works great besides some minor artifacting with dynamic lights. Even the tutorial videos work!
If dynamic lighting is enabled, the final level repeatedly flashes the whole screen white. It's very unpleasant, but it's easily fixed by disabling dynamic lighting (which it already is by default). I have not confirmed if this bug exists on Windows.
Works great on Deck. Deserves a verified rating if valve sets the proton usage to experimental - only to fix tutorial video playback
Tutorial video playback is not required for gameplay and you could probably get along without it but forcing experimental fixes them (as per other ProtonDB comment(s))

Runs perfect
Runs perfectly under Linux, no issues noticed at all.
