Occasionally locks up my complete PC and I have to hit the reset button
Was working great with GE-Proton10-10 untill I updated kernel version. The game booted in a black screen and then crashed. I tried multiple Proton versions that didn't work, until I tried proton-cachyos-10.0-20250714-slr-x86_64 and the game runs again!

It's perfectly playable, though a bit laggy at times, you can still completely enjoy the game and have fun with it.
Some textures on the map sometimes pop in and out, but nothing game breaking by any means
Performance degradations after about 2 hours of playing, I was using DX12 however and have since switched back to DX11. It seemed to help quite a bit with the performance problems.
Works out of the box, though I recommend swapping to dx11. Much lower CPU/GPU usage with same quality.

FPS doubled when i switched from DX12 -> DX11 in the game settings
occasional crashes and a few unloaded textures (ie the animation at launch) when playing without this proton version and launch options

Didn't try with Steam Proton but it worked with Proton GE

I do not believe any tinkering is required for better spec-ed PCs but i run an IGPU so

I first tried playing with Proton 9.0-4 but got an error and it didn't start, Simply switching to Proton Experimental fixed it and the game launched instantly and since been playing multiplayer with friends without any issues.

For best performance, wait for shaders to compile. It seems to load slowly on first launch, but once you get in a game, it speeds up. I had no performance issues once ingame.

There is some weird bug, when the cursor interacts with the in match UI it is always reset to the center of the screen

Recommend putting all abilities on left side side of Deck and using right trackpad for aiming.
Item descriptions in game may be small.
Must change to experimental, otherwise the game will crash. No issues once switched.

When launching I got the following error:
SUPERVIVE was unable to launch. If this problem persists after retrying, please reach out to player support at https://theorycraft.helpshift.com/.
Turns out I had an older Nvidia driver version 535 installed. After updating my GPU drivers to the latest driver version 550, everything worked out of the box.

It seems like the developers have kept their promise and enabled the anti-cheat to work on Linux after the "THE REINVENTED SUPERVIVE 1.0" update.

Changed Graphics API in video settings to DirectX 11 to double my FPS
Ran fine by default, but was a bit choppy. Runs buttery smooth after tweaks.

Works out the box
No technical issues whatsoever

Unable to launch
Got a popup saying it was unable to launch.
Just works perfectly

Works amazing now! Use Proton GE to fix the starting animation's incompatibility. After that, it works straight up. Thank you theorycraft!
Normal Valve Proton doesn't support the video file that starts at the start up of the game. GE is highly recommended

basic steam overlay problem, simple solve is launch option: LD_PRELOAD="" %command%
First time installed, may load pretty long, map and some characters will be missing, but after few games it will be flawless
steam still cant fix their overlay bug, which making proton experimental only not the best option.

Switching to DX11 in video settings doubled my FPS
Used DirectX 11 Graphics API in in-game settings for double the FPS
Works out of the box
It just works

Update 1.0 - seems to work now!
This game used to be broken, but it seems they made it playable with Update 1.0! I did not change any settings and only played the introduction and one arena game with other players and it worked completely fine :)
Works like a charm, proton support was Added on launch
Proton support was added on launch. Game runs fine as any other proton game

Worked flawlessly even tho I didnt enjoy it

The game runs as expected except for occasional crashes. I am unsure if the crashes are due to compatability issues or just my pc.
The issue that broke both proton and wine previously is rumored to be an incompatible SDK probably used for the UI. The UI underwent a massive update with the full release along with the game becoming playable, so I am inclined to believe this is true. The game has crashed a couple times for me but otherwise runs fantastic. I get 1% lows around ~200 fps @ 1440p

I was scared because of the other reviews but it is playable without any issues on default.

Anticheat blocks Linux / Steam Deck
You get a dialog popup on launch telling you that your OS is not supported by the anticheat. As far as I'm concerned thats a complete bork.

Unfortunately the game is still unplayable even with a proton based on 10.5+
kinda sad, it was decent to play with a buddy of mine.

borked. and likely it will never gonna work, uses NetEase AntiCheat, that prevents from running the game.
game starts, u will get a debugger window, but eventually it will stop by the AC check. tried multiple protons (GE, Valve, custom). NetEase known as the breaker for lot of projects and their proactive that Linux is bad.
