Worked out of the box perfectly.
Windowed mode left some flickering remnaints on the screen.
Installed with Proton Experimental, and worked out of the box. The game starts windowed, but fullscreening it wasn't a problem. Turning on Vsync made the game lag for some time, but then continue running flawlessly

Using the touch screen to draw was a little cumbersome. Wherever the mouse cursor was left at it would register a left click on that spot first when using the touch screen. That would register a lot of misinputs over the course of the game.
PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 %command%
Alt tabbing caused the game to minimize
got through the whole game in linux

Achivements do not trigger, and the Steam overlay is bugged.

I would recommend to switch to "Gamepad with Mouse Trackpad". Note that doing so will cause the game to sometimes show keyboard button prompts (stop using trackpad and do anything else with a controller to learn what is the relevant controller button), as well as cause "Brush styles" menu to behave oddly as it has a different layout depending on whether keyboard or a controller is being used (use right stick instead when setting new brushes instead to avoid it constantly shifting between keyboard and controller layout).
Despite those issues (which I would argue are pretty minor), being able to use trackpad instead of a stick for controlling what is essentially a mouse cursor makes the game feel much better I would argue. Right stick doesn't have precision of a touchpad.
Additionally, the touch screen works well if you want to use it, albeit I think on a device as large as Steam Deck, trackpads are a better choice.
Note that it's not possible to use touch screen or trackpads when playing co-op - mixing mouse and controller is not possible in co-op.

Work beautifully
Prevent crash after 10-30 minutes
Beaten with single 2K monitor
Tested with Proton 5.13-6

Game crashes with eventfd out of FDs error every ~30 min with esync enabled (with FD limit raised to 512K). Runs flawlessly after setting PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1.
Works perfectly.

Game briefly stutters upon entering a new screen
Will occasionally crash. However, I'm pretty sure the game saves every time you enter a new screen, so you'll be fine.

If you're able to use 'top' and 'kill' once you quit, you'll be fine. Game itself seems to work great.
Changed launch options to: PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%
Cannot successfully quit. First time could kill via system monitor (after using a keyboard shortcut to switch desktops). Second time it also made my mouse not work anymore in system monitor or any other windows, so I had to open a terminal and use top and kill -9 before the rest of the desktop environment would work normally again.
This is the demo only.
