launches, only shows black screen
no content shown at all, tried with a bunch of older protons too.

The entire game runs at a lower FPS than normal (considering this game isn't really that performance intensive in Windows)
The performance tank troughout the whole game definitely ruins the medium-fast paced experience of the game, but so far that seems to be the only problem, as the rest of the game seems to run without any problems
Surprisingly worked pretty well. Didn't have to tinker with anything.
can't do 60 fps, but did 30-45 (which looks good enough imo)

Consistent 45 FPS makes this less ideal for "serious" play, but this is not a serious game.
Need to bind a key to "2" and switch the language to English. For whatever reason, on-screen keyboard didn't work.
Most fighting games expect to run at a stable 60 FPS. There's a built in benchmark for Ultra Fight Da Kyanta 2 which shows a consistent 45 FPS, and the game rates the perfomance as "C" grade.

using proton GE 6.16 and disabling steam overlay the game ran without any problems

Opens as a black box forever until terminated
The game WILL work on 4.11 and 4.2 though, but with mediocre results and generally a poor experience.

The game freezes with a green screen if you don't disable the Steam Overlay, and even when it works, it runs at 35-45 FPS (the benchmark gave me a score of 1120, on Windows it gave me a score of over 4000) and the resolution and text are messed up

Largely runs, but intro video just displays a white screen (presumably lacks a compatible codec), and general speed is well below what I would expect. In game FPS display gives between 30 and 40FPS, and the game's built-in benchmark gives a score of about 1100, with a message mentioning that the system is not enough to run the game efficiently.
