Works with 60 fps. Everything works, including the achievements.
i am using mesa with aco as standard. So I have no idea about the performance with llvm.
Works on 60 fps. Single Player and Co-op works without problems (local coop and remote play together).
Please ensure that Steam can listen to the necessary ports in your firewall software for remote play.
Here is the link for the ports: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=3629-RIAV-1617#networkports

Game works perfectly out of the box.
I played the entire campaign with a X-Box 360 controller. Everything works without any problems, including the achievements.

Game works perfectly out of the box.
I played the entire campaign via "remote play together" with my brother (at 1080p 60fps and 2 x X-Box 360 controllers). Everything works without problems, including video/cutscenes and the achievements.
gamescope -w 1920 -h 1080 -W 3840 -H 2160 -f -U -- %command%
Game freezes when skipping videos.
You can't end videos with a mouse click, otherwise the game freezes. That's why I disabled the manufacturer videos. The story videos are also affected by the problem and should therefore not be ended prematurely with a mouse click.
- Optionally disable the manufacturer promotional videos by deleting them:
rm "/home/$USER/.steam/steam/steamapps/common/Ceville/data/shared/videos/"{kalypso_logo.wmv,realmforge_logo_1024.wmv}
All terminal commands refer to the default path of the Steam library. If the library has been moved to another location, please adjust my commands accordingly.
- If you have already started the game with another Proton version, please delete the prefix first.
sudo rm "/home/$USER/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/23460"
- Select Proton Version 5.0-10
- Run Ceville and finish the game
- install "dotnet35" with winetricks:
WINEPREFIX="/home/$USER/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/23460/pfx/" winetricks -q dotnet35
- The game now works without videos Making videos runnable
- Download K-Lite Codec Pack Standard Version from codecguide
- In the terminal, go to the download location with the exe file and run the following:
WINEPREFIX="/home/$USER/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/23460/pfx/" wine "K-Lite_Codec_Pack_1695_Standard.exe"
- Leave everything in the installation menu on default settings and confirm until the end. At the end, please deselect the following: "Install additional DirectX Files" and click finish.
If the process was not terminated in the terminal after the installation, please enter the following key combination: "CTRL"+"C" This will terminate the process in the terminal.
- Install gamescope and set the above steam launch option:
- e.g. install with Arch linux:
sudo pacman -S gamescope
* Launch Option:
gamescope -w 1920 -h 1080 -W 3840 -H 2160 -f -U -- %command%
Enter the above Gamescope command as the launch option. Without gamescope the videos are displayed incorrectly. The first two numbers represent the desired resolution in the game, in my case 1920x1080. The second two numbers stand for the max screen resolution. In my case it is a 4k screen with 3840x2160. Both resolutions must be adjusted according to the screen size and the desired resolution in the game. In addition, the resolution in the game's graphics menu must be set to match the launch option. In my case it was 1920x1080. The launch flag "-U" is optional. This enables AMD FidelityFX™ Super Resolution 1.0 for upscaling.
finished
I played the entire game with 1080p 60fps. The game does not scale the font. Therefore i have only played in 1080p with a 4k screen. However, I activated AMD Super Resolution with gamescope, which sharpens the font in particular.
Launch Flags: strangle -f 60 %command% from libstrangle
I have briefly tested the game with 1080p. Unfortunately the game has no fps-limit and so without the strangle command I have 4000 fps. With the above command I have max 60 fps and everything works without problems, even video/cutscenes.
