when tabbing out you need to try to tab in more than one time
With the small change for DXVK, disabling E-Sync, and using custom proton this is a very enjoyable experience.

at high settings I have about 15-20 fps lower then on windows
The DXVK file goes into the place where GTAV.exe is located. before you put stuff into the file you need to find your device id and vendor id, to do that use ($ lspci -vnn | grep VGA -A3). the device id is the right side of the last variable in this line and the left side is the vendor id "Subsystem: ASUSTeK Computer Inc. TU106M [GeForce RTX 2060 Mobile] [1043:1e21] ". in my case 1e21 is the device and 1043 is the vendor. Inside the file (dxvk.conf) put
dxgi.customDeviceId = GPU-DEVICE-ID
dxgi.customVendorId = GPU VENDOR ID

Game would install and load first screen... however if you press start it will just load indefinitely
