Tried multiple proton versions. Could not get it to launch.
Tried multiple proton versions, experimental, 9.0-3, 8.0-5, 7.0-6 and GE9-14. Tried various possible fixes found online, such as removing the eac.so file, even though that was mp specific, but you never know. Also tried multiple launch options, but nothing worked. Steam would say the game is launching, then my steam status would switch to me playing the game, and after a couple seconds it goes back to online status.
Game never once launched. Maybe, no probably, I'm stupid and missed something, but I'm done trying for now.
After fixing a drive partition issue it works great now
Like mentioned in my previous report I tried to play the game before, without success, I ended digging a little deeper later on though.
Turns out that, because I transfered one of my SSDs straight from Windows, and it was thus still partitioned in NTFS, there were some permission issues. I hadn't had this problem with other games on linux, so I did not initally consider this.
But, after turning the NTFS partition into a EXT4 partition, the game installs and runs without any extra tinkering, just like an out of the box experience.
