After months of trying, I finally was able to get thru one full round without a crash. I selected the 'low' preset, but turned the FPS to 60 and disabled vsync. I think vsync may be causing the errors. The game run decently well at these settings and the timing is pretty good. Kinda sucks running the game at 720fps but if you are desperate to play on Linux this may be the only way. I tried it at 1080fps with no vsync and it didn't crash but was incredibly choppy, too much so to hit the ball properly. Fair warning, the settings I'm describing got me thru one single game. Unclear if the crashing problem is totally fixed.
