Switch to proton 6.3-8 cause i had issues running with protonGE. Game will lag while loading new stuff for the first time, would recommend playing a friendly match or something first before playing FUT.
First time running a match will be problematic so I would recommend not playing online first go.
Avoid on linux unless you have an AMD gpu.

Had some trouble setting up the game in the first place. After some tinkering and praying to god the game finally started and I was able to get inside, once i got into my safe house leaving it crashes the game and trying to start it again will only get me to the main menu before crashing the moment I click on "Continue".

Switch to experimental or latest protonGE and wait (fairly long time) for steam to prepare shaders and then the game is good to go. No need really to do any tinkering unless you had some serious issues.
