Add DO=(%command%); "${DO[@]/%eg2.exe/../bin/evilgenius_dx12.exe}" to the launch options in steam, and it will run without a problem. Launcher won't load, but the game is still playable.
Screen flickering on load
Multiple proton versions tried (6.3-6, Experimental, 6.16-GE1, 5.13-6). Game will load, however graphics flicker constantly and rapidly. Tried various graphics settings in-game to resolve, but none seemed to have any obvious effects, even after closing and reopening game.
Still borked, 1+ years on
Still borked, because of the Easy Anti Cheat bullshiiiiiiiii...
Playable, but gameplay not as intended
Game starts, however activity is very slow unless interacting with the game (clicking, or holding mouse button down). Still allows game to be played, but is likely not the way it's supposed to run!
Splash comes up, doesn't run beyond that
Tired with multiple GE and stock proton versions...they all load the splash screen, but will not advance past that point.
