If you find yourself having ~40 fps or lower, it's likely that the linux 6.1+ is causing problems. The "launch options" I'm sharing isn't for the game, but for you to enter into a terminal to temporarily disable something in linux that causes the game to artificially run at a lower fps.
Yes, it works almost perfectly fine without vsync.
The game runs perfectly fine aside from occasional freezes. It seems like I fixed it by disabling vsync. After that it has only stalled once in the 15 hrs I've played and runs perfectly at a high fps.
It would freeze (not crash) every now and then (music still plays but the game doesn't seem to continue working). I suspect it's because it had trouble with vsync. Disabling vsync in the graphics option seemed to fix the issue entirely.

fixed with gamemoderun %command%
Cannot Launch
When launching from steam, a window popup says "Windows version (6.1.7601) not supported"
When launching by clicking the .exe in the installation directory, it's a blackscreen.
There's a log file provided in the installation directory and it seems like it was able to identify my specs and even identified peripherals including my Xbox One Controller.
When using Fullscreeen mode, tabbing out in any way forces the pause menu during gameplay
I forced proton 5.0-9 but launching through steam DOES NOT WORK. I clicked through different proton versions before this and such and at some point the it started to work fine. I think the problems are caused by the fact that the game only supports Windows 10 and just refuses to launch at all if it detects that your OS is anything but.
Though, I was able to play by using WINE by directly running the .exe Somehow, steam is not aware that I began playing it which is odd considering most games installed through steam will notify steam that I've began playing and update my status online iirc.
I have WINE 5.16-1.
