Launcher does not start, no error message given.
I've tried every bit of advice on this page plus anything else I could think of. Nothing works.
Significant and constant lag spikes while in populated worlds in VR mode.
In VR mode much more susceptible to crashers than usual.
Connected in VR mode, using a Quest 1 headset and ALVR to facilitate the connection.
I have not tried desktop mode, only VR mode. I'm using ALVR to connect my Quest 1 headset for playing VR games. Some of the problems I'm having may be ALVR related, though notably this setup does work just fine for Half-Life Alyx. If there's a better/more reliable way (or any other way at all) to use a Quest as a PCVR headset for Linux I haven't found it.
Connections seem to take longer and be less stable than the same setup on Windows (also using ALVR there). It's not horrible or anything, but I do experience more timeouts.
There are MANY more lag spikes than normal, and they are MUCH more severe.
An ALVR problem rather than a Proton one, streaming audio to and from the headset does not work particularly well. I work around this with a bluetooth headset or by turning on my speakers and being mute.
I occasionally get EAC notifications in game, but I can't read them to see what they say as the notification window is bigger than my display and stuck to it.
