Needed to set net.ipv4.tcp_mtu_probing=1. You can do so by running the command echo net.ipv4.tcp_mtu_probing=1 | sudo tee /etc/sysctl.d/custom-mtu-probing.conf | sudo xargs sysctl in konsole from desktop mode after setting a root password.
