Apart from the FPS Limiter bug, which will be soon on the main branch of proton, this is a Verified Steam Deck game and it runs flawlessly.
Issue
Currently, there is a bug with the FPS limiter. The GameScope integrated limiter didn't apply at first nor the VSYNC in the game settings. This resulted in high FPS (100-110) in game and a lot of wasted battery life due to this.
Fix
From your library go to the game's page. Settings button, and then properties. Under the Compatibility section tick "Force the use of a specific Steam Play compatibility tool" and then choose Proton Experimental in the dropdown. The game will re-download and re-install itself after this and the FPS limiter now works like a charm. Enjoy!
Alternative Fix
I saw another report that suggested limiting the TDP to around 7 watts and that worked but it results in non-consistent Framerate. And you have to switch it on just for this game which is a bit annoying.
This report will become obsolete once the next Stable Proton release includes the fix for the FPS limiter.
